Covers hazard analysis and critical control points across the full production chain — nut intake, processing, packaging, and warehousing — so contamination risk is managed at every stage, not just tested for at the end.
A production-floor discipline, not a paper exercise — temperature logs at each processing stage, batch traceability back to intake date, and defined corrective action if a control point falls out of range mid-run.
Covers how harvesters are paid, not how the product is packaged — a pre-agreed price set before harvest, payment direct to the cooperative's account, and no negotiation once nuts are already perishable. Detail on this is on our Sustainability page.
Confirms no synthetic pesticides, fertilizers, or processing aids anywhere from wild-harvested nut to finished butter. Applies to raw and refined grades; deodorized/ultra-refined is evaluated separately per batch.
Every production run is tested for free fatty acid content, moisture, and microbial load before it's cleared for packaging — not sampled occasionally, tested per batch.
SGS Ghana, Ghana Standards Authority, Fairtrade Africa, and Ecocert each conduct independent, unannounced or scheduled audits on their own cycle — we don't self-certify any of the four.
Fair Trade pricing and payment records are checked at the cooperative level, not just at our facility — auditors review payment logs directly with cooperative leadership.
Each certification above has its own expiry date. If one lapses between audits for any reason, we say so — not something we'd rather you found out from a buyer's own due diligence.
Certificates, the most recent audit summary, and batch-specific lab reports are available on request — most buyers ask for these before a first order, not after.
